Red Hat Day!

I remember when I first saw the "red hatters". I was intrigued, and curious. What did the red hats stand for? What was the story behind the red and the purple? Founder of the Red Hat Society is artist Sue Ellen Cooper, and in 1997, Cooper gave a friend a 55th birthday gift consisting of a red bowler purchased at an antique store along with a copy of Jenny Joseph's poem "Warning". The opening lines of the poem read: "When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me." I think it's great! I believe we need more reason's to wear color, and more reason's to celebrate. Or...maybe we don't need a reason at all? After all, "the more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." - Oprah
